Speak your mind even if your voice shakes
— Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Born and raised in Northern Pennsylvania, I’ve journeyed through most of the United States. My memories of our country’s majestic mountain ranges strongly influence my work.

Now that I’ve settled in Lancaster County, I’m constantly inspired by the dynamic changes of each passing season. I love watching the local environment shift from the fresh green forests of spring to the golds of ripe autumn farmland.

These memories guide my intuitive approach to painting textured watercolor landscapes. Both impressionistic and abstract in nature, my work aims to capture the luminosity, grandeur, and beauty of American mountainscapes.

While I’ve developed my style over a lifetime, I constantly experiment to grow my skill as an artist. Using traditional shibori techniques, I work with native plant and indigo dyes in collages. As the colors speak to me, I cut and shape the dyed paper into Japanese-inspired kimonos.

Currently, my work explores monochromatic shades of blue and green. I love pushing these hues to new levels of experimentation. I hope you can see the same depth and splendor of these colors in my paintings as I do.
